No, you don’t have to kill your temporary license. The permanent license will simply overwrite the temporary license when activated.
You can use any computer that has internet access. Simply type in the Site Code of the computer you want the license on and generate the Site Key.

It is possible to have both a Hardware Key and a Software Key license on the same computer; however, the system will recognize the Hardware Key first and only use the Hardware Key. If you unplug the Hardware Key, then the system will recognize the Software Key.
There are drivers that simply need to be activated for the system to recognize the Hardware Key. Visit the Info Center HW for the Application Note License Protection Using a Hardware Key for instructions.
